Hi again! Back at it after my little guy was in the hospital with RSV all week. He's on the mend now and almost 100% better!
It has come to my attention that maybe some of you are curious about what the studio sessions will be like. Have no fear, my style is not changing, it took me a super long time to cultivate my style of photography. When I started out, I was doing a lot of work with backdrops, bright colors, props, hats, etc. As I experimented with my art my aesthetic developed to be more simple and organic. I knew there were clients I would loose, but last winter I decided to concentrate solely on in home and outdoor lifestyle work. However, in the cold and unpredictable weather here in Michigan, it started to get difficult finding indoor locations to shoot in.
After searching and searching, I decided to create my own space and found an amazing environment in downtown Farmington. It has gorgeous natural light, plenty of space, and a downtown area so we can hop in and out during sessions. The space has been designed to mimic my in home and outdoor shoots, is very neutral, light wood floors, white walls. We have a bed, some pillows and blankets, chairs to sit on, and thats it! No props. No backdrops. Your shoot will still be all natural, I will continue to capture your family with natural smiles and laughs. Your session will still be relaxed, easy going, and fun. Maybe sometimes I will hold different "themed" sessions, but, don't let that fool you, that doesn't mean for example christmas/hanukkah decorations, it just means they will take place during a certain time of the year!
Can't wait for you all to see and to share photos from my upcoming shoots!
